HMN Successfully Completes the Marine Survey of MSC System

[Tianjin, June 4, 2020] Huawei Marine Networks (HMN) announced the completion of the marine survey for the Maldives Sri Lanka Cable (MSC) system that connects Hulhumale, an island in the Maldives archipelago, to Mount Lavinia in Sri Lanka. The MSC system will be completed by the end of 2020.
This important phase of the system delivery captures bathymetric and seabed composition information that is used refine route engineering and marine installation methods to ensure a robust system design.
The MSC system is 840 km long, and is equipped with HMN’s high-output titanium housing repeaters deployed to a water depth of 3,700m to provide a reliable regional telecommunications network.
