In the late 90s, Khaled Bichara risked his house to take a bank loan for a startup venture, LinkDOTnet, the first internet service provider in Egypt which took a whole year and a half as a company to do the first transaction. His risk paid off & today Bichara is a telecommunications and information technology expert always looking for the next challenge.

He is currently the CEO of Orascom Development Holding, Founder of A15 and Co-founder of Accelero Capital.

Bichara has managed ten operations across the globe through Orascom Telecom Holding and Wind Italy and 22 operations across the globe through VimpelCom. Khaled has played a pivotal role in the merger of VimpelCom with Wind Italy for a total consideration of $25.7Bn to create the world’s sixth largest telecommunications carrier.

Bichara currently serves as a board member of various telecom and IT companies, including Orascom Telecom Media, Technology Holding and SUPERNAP International, the developer of the world-renowned SUPERNAP data centers.
