مصر تستضيف الندوة الثانية للمبادرة العالمية للشمول المالي
تستضيف مصر، ممثلة في الجهاز القومي لتنظيم الاتصالات، الندوة الثانية للمبادرة العالمية للشمول المالي والتي ستنعقد خلال الفترة من 22 إلى 24 يناير، بالقاهرة. وينظم الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات الندوة بالاشتراك مع مجموعة البنك الدولي واللجنة المعنية بالمدفوعات والبنى التحتية للسوق (CPMI)، بدعم من مؤسسة بيل وميليندا جيتس، وموضوع الندوة هو تمكين نظم إيكولوجية للخدمات المالية الرقمية الشاملة: رؤى وطنية ومواضيعية.
وتهدف الندوة إلى توفير منصة فريدة من أجل تبادل الدروس المستفادة بشأن مختلف النماذج والخدمات المالية الرقمية، ونهج الحماية التنظيمية، وسبل تخفيف المخاطر في البيئات السريعة التغير لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات والمعاملات المالية الرقمية، وتأثير التكنولوجيات الناشئة في النظام الإيكولوجي. كما تهدف كذلك إلى عرض مبادرات الشمول المالي الرقمي والابتكارات التي تجري على الصعيد الدولي، وتوفير القيادة الفكرية بشأن استراتيجيات الشمول المالي الرقمي والابتكارات التكنولوجية في مجال الخدمات المالية الرقمية.
وتجمع هذه الندوة بين منظمي الاتصالات/تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات وهيئات التنظيم المالي، وواضعي السياسات، وموردي الخدمات المالية الرقمية، ومؤسسات أنظمة الدفع وأصحاب المصلحة الآخرين المعنيين بالخدمات المالية الرقمية، من جميع أنحاء العالم.
وباب المشاركة في الندوة مفتوح أمام الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد وأعضاء القطاع والمنتسبين والمؤسسات الأكاديمية وأمام أي شخص من بلد عضو في الاتحاد يرغب في المساهمة في العمل. ويشمل ذلك أيضاً الأفراد الأعضاء في المنظمات الدولية والإقليمية والوطنية.
جدير بالذكر أن الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات من أهم وكالات الأمم المتحدة المتخصصة في تقنيات المعلومات والاتصالات، ومقره الرئيسي في مدينة جنيف السويسرية، وتتألف عضويته من 191 دولة وأكثر من 700 عضو وشريك من قطاعات مختلفة. ويتركز دور الاتحاد في تهيئة الأجواء لتحقيق النمو والتنمية المستدامة في تكنولوجيا الاتصالات والمعلومات على مستوى العالم.
Egypt Hosts Second FIGI Symposium
Egypt, represented by the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), will host the second edition of the Financial Inclusion Global Initiative (FIGI) Symposium on January 22-24 in Cairo. Under the theme “Enabling Inclusive Digital Financial Services Ecosystems: National and Thematic Insights”, the Symposium is organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), jointly with the World Bank Group and the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures with the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The Symposium aims to provide a unique platform to share lessons learned about the different digital financial models and services, the regulatory sandbox approach, ways to mitigate risks in fast changing ICT and digital payment environments, and the impact of emerging technologies on the ecosystem. It also aims to showcase digital financial inclusion initiatives and innovations taking place at the international level, and provide thought leadership on digital financial inclusion strategies and technological innovations in the area of DFS.
The Symposium will bring together telecom/ICT and financial regulators, policymakers, digital financial services providers, payment system organizations and other DFS stakeholders from around the world.
Participation in the Symposium is open to ITU Member States, Sector Members, Associates and Academic Institutions and to any individual from a country that is a member of ITU who wishes to contribute to the work. This includes individuals who are also members of international, regional and national organizations.
