جوجل واورنج تطلق كابل Dunant عبر المحيط الأطلنطي في عام 2020

Google and French telecoms Orange have announced a partnership in which Dunant will launch across the Atlantic in 2020. Dunant is one of seven companies that Google will be operating in the next two years and will have a length of more than 6,600 km (4100 miles) Linking the Atlantic coast to the United States and France.

The Atlantic Ocean is one of the busiest lines in the world. The need to connect to a two-factor is increased every two years. Once Dunant is operational in 2020, this device will provide capacity of more than 30 terabits per second per pair.

Orange said that this is enough to transfer a 1GB film at 30 microseconds. This will enable Orange to enhance the ability to meet its rapid growth in data and content requirements between the United States and Europe for several years. Donun, named after the founder of the Red Cross and the first recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, Henry Dunant, will be the first new submarine cable to connect the United States and France in 15 years.

Stephan Richard, CEO and president of Orange, said the role of submarine cables is often “overlooked” even though it has a central role “at the heart of our digital world.” Orange has invested so far in more than 40 sea cabins.

Some of the other submarine cables that Google has installed include Alpha and Beta. Google is also launching a remote sea cab named Corrie next year, linking Chile with Los Angeles. The Korean is the first submarine cable to be connected to Chile for nearly 20 years.
