1- Ambassador Suha Gendy, Minister of Immigration, extended her sincere congratulations to the masses of Egyptians abroad and at home on the occasion of the glorious Easter, and said: “Egypt, with its cohesive national fabric, will remain a model of tolerance and unity generation after generation. Every year, Egypt and Egyptians are well, loving and peaceful.”
2- Ambassador Suha Gendy, Minister of Immigration, announced that in light of the expiration of the law “Importing Cars for Egyptians Abroad”, in accordance with the previously announced controls, and with the receipt of many inquiries, the Council of Ministers approved the request of the Ministry of Immigration, to allow the reception of transfers from abroad for a period of one month from the date of expiry of the aforementioned law. The minister explained that this step comes with the aim of completing the acceptance of incoming transfers for those who have shown seriousness in applying for the second phase of the initiative, and have been issued a payment order on the platform. Electronic, especially since there are many pending and delayed transfers and a number of other cases that need alternative mechanisms due to difficulties in completing the transfer of cash from abroad before the end of the initiative, as a result of various reasons beyond their control despite their seriousness, with the availability of these alternatives, during the grace month period, in coordination with the Central Bank and the concerned authorities.
3- In response to what was received from a large number of Egyptians abroad through the official page of the Ministry of Immigration and communication groups, Ambassador Suha Gendy, Minister of Immigration, confirmed that the decision issued by the Council of Ministers, at the request of the Ministry of Immigration, to provide the opportunity for a month from the date of the end of the initiative of Egyptians abroad cars, for those who registered on the application from Egyptians residing in countries where there are obstacles to complete the process of transferring the full value of the dollar deposit, or whose countries of residence suffer from international conditions or Disputes that they can complete the rest of the transfer procedures, the Egyptian abroad must have completed the registration process on the “Cars App” before the end of the initiative’s date, and issued a registration number that includes his data.
4- Ambassador Suha Gendy, Minister of Immigration, received Mr. Nicholas Papagiorgio, Ambassador of Greece to Egypt, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in joint files, where the Minister discussed various activities related to cooperation within the framework of the Revival of Roots initiative, especially in the fields of youth and tourism, and the existence of many topics on which joint cooperation must be developed within the framework of investment, and the conference (Friends of Nostos 3 + 1) to be held in Paris to maximize and integrate cooperation between the three communities in friendly countries to maximize the development process in their countries. Cooperation in the fields of marine tourism, yacht tourism, religious tourism, medical tourism, as well as food tourism were discussed to reflect the consensus and historical commonalities between these peoples. The two sides also agreed to arrange and coordinate strategies to combat illegal immigration, provide all new developments in this regard, and develop opportunities for integration, especially with the existence of thought, history and aspiration for a common future that unites the two countries.
5- Ambassador Suha Gendy, Minister of Immigration, a group of founders of the Matareya Youth Initiative, who organized the largest Ramadan Iftar table in Egypt and the Middle East, to emphasize the importance of what they provide to society in terms of reviving important values and principles that we missed, and reflecting the state of safety in the Egyptian street and community cohesion that Our society is always characterized by it, and the positive messages they have sent that invite everyone to emulate it. 7- Within the framework of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to follow up on the situation of Egyptian students returning from conflict areas, the Ministry of Immigration received a letter from the Ministry of Higher Education, in response to a petition by some Egyptian students returning from Russia who faced difficulties in the Egyptian universities in which they wish to study, regarding the need to document the study papers of these students from the Egyptian Cultural Office in Moscow. 8- In response to the requests of Egyptians abroad, and in the interest of the Egyptian state to provide all facilities to the people of the country abroad, the Ministry of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs published an infographic highlighting the conditions for registering in the initiative to settle the recruitment status of Egyptians abroad, which begins from May 1, 2024 for a period of two months, as the ministry called for speedy registration on the ministry’s website within the specified period to quickly end the recruitment position permanently through the initiative.

10- Ambassador Suha Gendy, Minister of Immigration, participated in a rich musical evening by the great musician Hani Shenouda, at the theater of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat, at the invitation of Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Museum Authority, in the presence of great figures, headed by His Majesty King Ahmed Fouad II of Egypt and Sudan, Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, former Prime Minister of Egypt, and Mr. Amr Moussa, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt as well.
