Invest-Gate Explores Key Government Incentives Driving Lucrative Real Estate Investment Opportunities

In continuation of its series of successes in the Egyptian real estate market, Invest-Gate will hold the 20th edition of its roundtable, and the third in 2023, titled “Unveiling Government Incentives for Lucrative Real Estate Investment Opportunities”. It is taking place in cooperation with the Egyptian Businessmen Association (EBA), on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 9 a.m. at the Nile Ritz-Carlton Hotel, in the Alf Leila We Leila Ballroom.
The roundtable highlights the government’s recent efforts to support the real estate sector, as the sector receives great attention from the state as it is one of the pivotal sectors of the Egyptian economy.
Hence, the Egyptian government issued several decisions and initiatives in 2023 intending to revive as well as maintain the continuity of activity and momentum in the real estate sector, which has felt the impact of recent economic crises.
Discussions at the roundtable will revolve around the government’s mechanisms for facilitating real estate financing, its efforts to export real estate abroad, and the laws it approved to attract foreign investment and provide foreign currency, in addition to providing facilities to investors to mitigate the consequences of liberalizing the local currency exchange rate on the sector.
The roundtable is divided into two main sessions: “Government Facilitations and Incentives” and “Tools for Overcoming Crises.” Eng. Fathallah Fawzy, Vice Chairman of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association and Chairman of the Real Estate Development and Contracting Committee, will moderate both sessions.

The roundtable aims to foster a diverse exchange of views on the significance of government facilitation and incentives, their role in attracting investment opportunities, mechanisms to promote real estate exports, legislative amendments to facilitate foreign ownership, and the potential launch of a real estate stock exchange to support exports and attract foreign investments.
Additionally, discussions will cover recently approved investment laws, amendments to investment law(s), the government’s plan to attract foreign direct investment, and the provided facilities for developers and the contracting sector, such as project implementation timelines, bank facilities, and land acquisition assistance.
The roundtable will also address the implementation of the Unified National Real Estate ID Law and the green urbanization project, including its goals, the designated area for implementation, and government efforts to enhance green spaces in various cities across Egypt.
